Furious cracking barrel fans for the beloved restaurant’s fashion: “The last piece of nostalgia” was taken away “

The restaurants of the Old Country Store of Cracker Barrel have been strategically out of interest to attract drivers with their comfort, southern hospitality, a range of food options and affordable prices on the menu.

But the cracker barrel can lose its charm in the midst of a physical image change, according to some.

Rachel Love, a 38 -year -old Tennessee resident and a self -proclaimed Cracker Barrel, recently caught the attention of the restaurant chain with his social network video.

“When Cracker Barrel took the last piece of nostalgia you had left,” Love was in a Tiktok video last month when he showed inside an updated location.

The publication has accumulated thousands of comments from other Cracker Barrel lovers, many of whom miss the new appearance and prefer the original concept.

Love told Fox News Digital that he was in “shock” when he first saw the white walls and the giant mural next to the restaurant near his parents’ house.

“I thought they were preparing to paint it again,” he said.

The interior decoration had also been modified.

“There are no antiques on the wall,” said Love. “The only antiques they have were in the chimney mantle.”

According to some, the cracker barrel may lose its charm in the midst of physical change.

“Very transparent”

Sarah Moore, Cracker Marketing, Sarah Moore, said that all the things that people love about the Tennessee restaurant chain are not left.

“During the last year, we have been very transparent with our transformation platform,” Moore told Fox News Digital. “One of our strategies is really focused on this physical experience of the guests.”

Cracker Barrel has been testing “several levels of remodeling,” Moore told Fox News Digital.

“This is evolution with intentionality,” he said. “We have been very transparent because of our goal of making our shops feel brighter and even more welcoming than they are already, maintaining this hospitality and charm of the country that we are known.”

Includes brand swing chairs and PEG games.

“None of this goes away,” Moore said. “We are just looking at ways to refresh the experience so that we can open the door a little wider for more invited.”

Love said he has been contacted with Cracker Barrel employees who wish to keep anonymity that he said that the memory store, a popular way for customers to spend time while waiting for a table, is part of the renewal.

Moore said there is no reason to worry.

“The retail store is a differentiating one for us. It is such an important part of our global experience. Things of this nature, the things that make us truly who we are, this does not change.”

However, Love’s video created this buzz that Cracker Barrel arrived with a peace offer that included a Knicknacks gift basket.

Cracker Barrel has been testing “several levels of remodeling,” Moore told Fox News Digital. Christopher Sadowski

“Hi Rachel! Just something to say Thank you for loving the cracker bar as much as we! Your friends, Cracker Barril,” read a card note.

Moore said Cracker Barrel listens to his customers.

“What the guests asked are things like spaces that feel brightest, who feel less messy, more seats in the cabin, more seat options, so our guests are more comfortable while eating with us,” he said.

“Evolution of the menu”

Love said that he believes that food quality has declined in recent years. “I think they are trying to save on eating costs,” he said.

Cracker Barrel added alcohol a few years ago, which love said it was not necessary.

“If I’m going out in a good dinner, I’ll drink,” he said. “I’m not going to drink the barrel to drink.”

Customers can also expect more menu changes. “Similar to our remodeling strategy, the evolution of the menu has also been a clear pillar within our transformation framework,” Moore told Fox News Digital.

Cracker Barrel is “duplicating in our breakfast, which is a force for us, but also expanding our dinner offers”.

The “Campfire” meals, absent since 2018, recently returned to the menu, along with the new bonfire shrimp paella, “an incredible value,” said Moore.

“I don’t think we have enough credit for the value we offer,” Moore said. “We offer so many ways to find value in your own way when you get to Cracker Barrel. If you think about it, our average check is $ 14 compared to $ 27 for the casual dining room industry. Abundant delicious food has always been part of our value equation.”

Love hopes that the answers to their video will lead to Cracker Barrel to reduce cosmetic changes and focus more on food.

“Prepare -with love as before. It’s where everything starts,” he said. “Food has to improve. Just adding new options will not change the feeling of people in this regard.”

Cracker Barrel, however, suggested that he has an eye in the future while recognizing his past.

“Everything we are doing is deeply rooted in who we are,” said Moore. “Is it fair, how can we advance those things that have done us so loved for the last 55 years? How did we establish ourselves for the next 55 years?”
